Terms of use

By using ScentForge you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You must be at least 13. Where the law of your country requires it, users under 18 (or the local age of consent) need a parent's or guardian's permission. Users under 18 cannot publish blends publicly.

ScentForge lets you design, save and share perfume formulas. Some features — having a blend made at a ScentForge One machine, and the shop — are coming soon and will have their own terms when they launch. We may change or stop features; for important changes we will give notice in the app.

Suggestions, names, descriptions, scores, recipes and artwork are produced automatically — by AI (Google Gemini) and by our formula engine. They can be inaccurate or incomplete.

They are not a safety assessment, not a certificate of compliance with IFRA standards or cosmetic regulations, and not professional, medical or legal advice. Check them before you rely on them.

• Perfume is for external use on skin, hair or clothing only. Never swallow it.
• Keep it away from eyes, mucous membranes, broken or irritated skin, children and pets.
• Before first use, patch-test: apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm and wait 48 hours. Stop if redness, itching or swelling appears, and seek medical advice if the reaction is serious.
• Perfume with alcohol is flammable: keep it away from flames and heat.
• Some materials (for example certain citrus oils) make skin more sensitive to sunlight.
• If you mix materials yourself from a recipe, follow each supplier's safety data sheet, work in a ventilated place, wear gloves and eye protection, and respect maximum use levels.

Many natural and synthetic fragrance materials contain allergens — for example limonene, linalool, citral, geraniol, eugenol, coumarin, cinnamal and oakmoss extracts. Recipes in ScentForge may not list every allergen. A finished product given or sold to others must be labelled under the cosmetic rules of the country where it is supplied.

If you have a fragrance allergy, eczema or sensitive skin, ask a doctor before use.

You own the blends, names and texts you create. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy and display them so we can provide the service: privately to you, to people you share a link or code with, and publicly in the community if you publish them.

If you publish a blend, other users may view it and create their own remixes. You can unpublish at any time; remixes that others already saved stay theirs.

You confirm that you have the rights to anything you upload (such as photos), and that your blend names do not use other perfume brands' names or trademarks or claim to copy a branded perfume.

Do not break the law, infringe other people's rights, upload harmful, hateful or misleading content, try to access other people's data, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or get around AI limits (for example by creating many guest accounts). We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

The app, its design, formula engine, knowledge base and brand belong to ScentForge or its licensors. You may use them only through the app, for your personal use.

We provide ScentForge "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that results will suit you.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any reaction, injury or damage caused by perfume you make or use based on suggestions in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or KWD 10 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited — such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

You can stop using ScentForge and delete your account at any time in Me → Privacy & your data. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms; where reasonable, we will tell you why.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, and the courts of Kuwait have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may also bring claims in your local courts.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using ScentForge after that, the new terms apply.
